Daisy Dot Freedom No-Pull Dog Harness is Great for training your dog.
The Freedom No-Pull Harness:
The Freedom Harness makes walking your dog an easy, more enjoyable experience for both of you.
Recycle in Style! New EarthStyle collection combines colorful upbeat designs with earth-friendly webbing made using recycled plastic bottles. Tons of great patterns to choose from, all available in your choice of Freedom Harness, any style collar, or any style leash. You’ll love these designs that are more earth-friendly and the retro-hip designs of the EarthStyle line.
The Freedom No-Pull Harness features a patented control loop on the back of the harness which tightens gently around your dog’s chest to discourage pulling behavior and makes walking your dog an easy, more enjoyable experience for both of you. It also features a structural connection ring on the front of the harness. Connecting to this ring is optional, but recommended, as it allows you to attach to the front and back of the harness simultaneously. Used this way, you are able to control pulling and redirect your dog’s attention back to you for training and treats.
The Freedom No-Pull Harness features a Swiss velvet-lined chest strap to help prevent rubbing and chafing behind the front legs. The stainless steel hardware used on the harness will never rust or corrode, and the webbing can literally be used to tow cars. It will not break or fray, no matter how hard your dog pulls.
The Freedom No-Pull Harness is designed to fit any dog from 14 lbs all the way up to 250+ lbs.
How Can a Dog Harness Help?
Dog harnesses are a great way to teach puppies and older dogs alike how to walk on a leash. Our comfortable, no-pull harnesses naturally teach dogs how to walk correctly and protect you both from harm, so you’ll be able to take more walks. By releasing your dog’s energy through walks, you’ll prevent boredom, which often comes with barking, chewing, and destructive behaviors. Start walking your way to a well-behaved dog today!
Does My Dog Need a Harness?
If you have a dog that pulls or tries to slip out of their collars, our escape-resistant harnesses are the best way to keep them safe. Our comfortable dog harnesses help ensure you’re both enjoying your walk, whether you’re on a busy hiking trail or walking around your neighborhood.
Why Should My Dog Wear a Harness Over a Collar?
If your dog is a puller or an escape artist, or if you’re training or lifting your dog, your dog should probably wear a harness. When a dog pulls on a normal collar, they tend to choke themselves. All that pressure on their trachea (throat) can actually damage it and cause breathing problems. Harnesses are much safer and more comfortable for dogs that pull, as they distribute pressure across a larger, less sensitive area (the chest).
How to Measure Your Dog For a Harness
There aren’t standard dimensions for dog harnesses; a medium-sized dog harness from one company could be considered an extra-large at another. Before you can choose the right harness for your dog, you’ll need to take a few measurements:
Weight: Your dog’s weight can help you determine which harnesses will be strong enough for them to wear. With other dog harnesses, a dog that’s 20 pounds over their weight limit could break them when pulling or lunging after a squirrel. But our Freedom No-pull harnesses have been tested to pull up to 3800 lbs, meaning they’ll never break or fray no matter how hard your dog pulls.
Chest: Using a soft tape measure (or piece of string), measure all the way around the LARGEST part of your dog’s chest. Starting at the bottom of their rib cage, bring the tape up and over their back, and then back down to where you began.
Neck: You’ll need to know your dog’s neck size for some types of harnesses. To get this number, simply wrap your tape measure around the THICKEST part of your dog’s neck.
Check out our sizing chart to choose the right size harness or collar for your dog. If your dog is between sizes, select the next size up.

HOW SHOULD A DOG HARNESS SHOULD FIT
There are many different kinds of dog harnesses, and each type of harness will have a slightly different style and fit. In general, a dog harness should fit snug, but not too tight. It should be tight enough that your dog can’t back out of it, and the ring (that you clip the leash to) should sit higher on their chest. Just like with a collar, you should be able to fit two fingers (but only two!) between the harness and your dog.
SIGNS YOUR DOG’S HARNESS ISN’T FITTING RIGHT
Your dog’s harness isn’t fitting right if:
They can step or wiggle out of it
They’re chafing under the armpits or around the harness
They’re losing fur/hair around the harness area
The chest strap loosens on your walk
The back piece rotates to the side
If your dog is being resistant to walking (they just stand there on the sidewalk and don’t budge) or if they’re putting up a fight when it’s time to put on their harness, it might be because the harness doesn’t fit right!
Think about wearing a bathing suit that’s way too tight and how it digs into and rubs against your skin. If that was your only bathing suit, you probably wouldn’t want to go swimming. In your dog’s mind, going on a walk just isn’t worth the discomfort of wearing their too-tight harness.
WHY A PROPER FIT MATTERS
Not only can a poor-fitting harness cause your dog discomfort and pose a safety issue for dogs who can wiggle out and break free, but it can also cause medical problems too. If your dog’s harness is too small/tight, it can restrict their natural movements. Their stride gets thrown out of whack and they start using their muscles incorrectly, causing unnecessary stress on their joints and bones.
At 2 Hounds Design, we understand that dogs come in all different shapes and sizes. That’s why we designed our Freedom No-Pull Harness to be adjustable, unbreakable, and able to fit any dog from 14 lbs all the way up to 250+ lbs! Shop our high-quality dog harnesses today!
Sizing:
It comes in two widths:
5/8” for smaller dogs under 40 lbs – Dachshunds, Italian Greyhounds, Whippets, Jack Russel Terriers, Beagles, Miniature Schnauzers, etc.
1” for larger dogs over 40 lbs – Boxers, Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, Greyhounds, German Shepherds, Basset Hounds, Pit Bulls, Great Danes, etc.
To measure your dog for the harness, use a soft measuring tape (or a piece of string) and measure all the way around the largest part of your dog’s chest. Choose the SMALLEST size that fits within that measurement.
5/8″ Training Leash = 4’9″
1″ Training Leash = 4’11”
No-Pull Harness comes with a Training Leash as a complete set.
The training leash is designed to be used in conjunction with the Freedom No-Pull Harness. It provides additional control points, which evenly distributes pressure. It has a permanently attached “floating” handle, allowing the leash to be used in multiple configurations:
- Connect to the front and the back of the harness simultaneously.
- Connect to just the front or the back of the harness.
- Connect to the harness and a collar at the same time.
When connected to two points the training leash is 3′ long including the floating handle, and 4′ long when attached to a single point. As the name suggests, this shorter leash is especially useful for training.

Can I wash my Harness/Leash?
Dogs get dirty. So does their gear. All 2 Hounds Design products (unless otherwise noted) can be washed in a washing machine by placing the harness in a pillow case and using the gentle cycle OR place the harness in a sink filled with cold water and detergent. Let it soak and rinse it well. Always air dry your harness.
Is my leash/harness safe to use?
It is important to inspect your 2HD gear carefully before each use. Look for chewed or damaged webbing, stitching, or any other problems before putting it on your dog. If you find any damage, Contact Us and we will help make sure your dog is safe every time you walk!
Note: The webbing that is used has a 3800 lb test strength and will not break, even if your dog is a heavy puller. If you see damage to the webbing, it has encountered something sharp (like teeth…) but we can fix it! Contact us to get details on the Harness Repair Warranty.
